Masaryk University, located in Brno, is the second-largest public university in the Czech Republic and the leading higher education institution in Moravia. It is recognized as one of the most important teaching and research institutions in the Czech Republic and a highly-regarded Central European university. Masaryk University is currently educating over 35 000 students, 20 % of them international. The Faculty of Education was established in the autumn of 1946 as Masaryk University’s fifth faculty. The faculty aims to educate and train teachers for kindergarten, primary school, lower secondary school, and upper secondary school.
