Masaryk University, located in Brno, is the second-largest public university in the Czech Republic and the leading higher education institution in Moravia. It is recognized as one of the most important teaching and research institutions in the Czech Republic and a highly-regarded Central European university. Masaryk University is currently educating over 35 000 students, 20 % of them international. Master on European Governance is a graduate study program taught in cooperation of the Utrecht School of Governance of the Utrecht University and the Faculty of Social Studies of the Masaryk University, Brno. The 2-year program is designed to provide students with the opportunity to experience the environment of both schools. The first year is organized in Brno and the second year in Utrecht; moreover, during the program, joint seminars with participation of lecturers from both universities are to be held.
