Masaryk University, located in Brno, is the second-largest public university in the Czech Republic and the leading higher education institution in Moravia. It is recognized as one of the most important teaching and research institutions in the Czech Republic and a highly-regarded Central European university. Masaryk University is currently educating over 35 000 students, 20 % of them international. The Faculty of Economics and Administration was established in 1990 since then, it has developed into a stabilised institution providing education in the area of economics and administration to students of Bachelor’s, Master’s and doctoral degree programmes. The faculty’s primary objective is to further education and research in the economic sciences. In the master program Business Management the students will focus on the study of corporate economics and management and will apply both a holistic and atomistic approach. They will look in detail at various functions of a corporation especially those related to production, personnel, technology and science, business, economics and finance. The program aims to equip students with a good understanding of the material, economic, organizational, informative and managerial aspects of processes taking place in a company and their mutual connections. As well as gaining theoretical knowledge students will also develop skills necessary for both executive and managerial functions.
