Masaryk University, located in Brno, is the second-largest public university in the Czech Republic and the leading higher education institution in Moravia. It is recognized as one of the most important teaching and research institutions in the Czech Republic and a highly-regarded Central European university. Masaryk University is currently educating over 35 000 students, 20 % of them international. The Faculty of Economics and Administration was established in 1990 since then, it has developed into a stabilised institution providing education in the area of economics and administration to students of Bachelor’s, Master’s and doctoral degree programmes. The faculty’s primary objective is to further education and research in the economic sciences. In the master program Finance the students are prepared to work in various functions in financial instituions and monetary systems, corporation finance, financial accounting, auditing and taxes. The organization of the field enables the students to gain knowledge of monetary systems, financial markets and international finance, banking and insurance, corporate finance, accounting, auditing and taxation.
