The Certificate of Higher Education in Common Law offers an alternative path to the study of law for students who are not yet eligible for admission directly on to the LLB course of studies. After successfully completing the diploma programme students are able to transfer directly on to the second year of the LLB degree. The two year Certificate of Higher Education in Common Law programme is comprised of the first year LLB courses, laws support courses, and general education. The totality of the programme is designed to support laws studies at a slower pace while developing language and writing skills and expanding intellectual development in arenas that will lay a stronger foundation for future LLB courses and graduation requirements, i.e. EU Law, Jurisprudence, Law Skills Pathways.
