STUDENT CITY: Plzeň
Plzen, usually called Pilsner in English, is a city west of Prague. The city is world-famous for its Pilsner beer which was first brewed there in 1842. The dominant landmark of the historical center of Pilsner is the Church of St Bartholomew with a tower over 100 meters high. The University of West Bohemia is located in Pilsner with its multiple faculties. There is also the Faculty of Medicine of Charles University in the town and other faculties.
