Study Electrical Engineering at the University of West Bohemia
Are you interested in IT, communication technologies, robotics, electromobility or programming? The Faculty of Electrical Engineering at the University of West Bohemia offers a full-time Bachelor degree programme in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology taught in English. Applications are open until April 15, 2021!
The study programme offers a broad base of electrical and information technology expertise. However, this programme is not only about electrical engineering, but also programming, robotics, electromobility, management, ecology, and much more. In elective subjects, students have the opportunity to learn how to design an electric vehicle, how to mathematically model it, simulate it, and bring it to life, or figure out how microprocessors, communication, and regulatory technology works in various fields of life.
Successful holders of the degree can either continue in studying for follow-up Master degree in Electrical Power Engineering or start their career in electrical engineering but also in the energy industry and many different authorities and institutions. The University of West Bohemia cooperates with many businesses and institutions, therefore alumni of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering are encourage to seek job opportunities in relevant companies such Skoda Auto, MB Tech, ZF Engineering Plzeň, Siemens, Skoda Transportation, ČEPS, ČEZ, Daikin, or Bosch.
Applicants for Bachelor studies at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering are admitted without an entrance examination after assessing the results of their secondary school studies and any other activities until the expected number of students is fulfilled. The University of West Bohemia (UWB) has a significant position among universities in both the Czech Republic and Europe. UWB is the only public institution of higher education located in the Pilsen Region. There are nine faculties with over sixty departments and three institutes of higher education at the university. Prospective students can choose from a wide of range of undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral study programmes.
