PCU’s University Partner Network Expands
Prague City University has recently signed several significant Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) with a number of universities. By signing these MoUs, PCU is able to create a platform for meaningful engagement and long-term partnerships with other universities around the world.
MoU Significance
MoU’s signed between PCU and these institutions outlines the general terms for cooperation and collaboration in areas such as student exchange programs, research collaborations, faculty visits, and joint conferences and workshops.
PCU is committed to expanding and strengthening the international educational partner network as it offers students a wealth of opportunities with teaching and learning as well as networking to assist in developing future careers.
Comenius University, Slovakia
On the 9th of March, Hon. Prof. Stefano Cavagnetto, Dean of the School of Business signed a memorandum of understanding with Dr Peter Štarchoň, Dean of the Faculty of Management at Comenius University Bratislavia.
The objective of the MoU is to facilitate academic research and educational cooperation between PCU’s School of Business and Comenius University’s Faculty of Management. This will extend into an exchange programme of students, faculty members and researchers. The universities will also partner on joint research projects including conferences, seminars, article publications and degree and non-degree study programmes.
Sumy State University, Ukraine
On 7th April, Hon. Prof. Stefano Cavagnetto, Dean of the School of Business met with Dr Zhanna Oleksich and Dr Inna Makarenko from the Department of Accounting and Taxation at Sumy State University to formalise cooperation between the two institutions.
They discussed areas of cooperation and interest including modern trends in science and the scientific interests of the university representatives. Participation in the Erasmus+ programmes to achieve quality, creativity and innovation to enhance professional development. Joint hosting of international conferences and online classes to promote and support European integration studies.
The meeting resulted in the signing of the cooperation agreement.
NEW partnerships in France and Spain
In addition to the MoUs, Prague City University has also expanded its educational partner network within Europe. These exciting new partners will bring a whole host of opportunities to students including summer school and study exchange programmes between the universities.
École Nantaises de Commerce (ENC), France
Ecoles Nantaises de Commerce is a private business school located in Nantes, France and offers BTS degree programmes and Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes delivered by the French Ministry of Education and the French Ministry of work. In their third year students from ENC can elect to study PCU’s BA (Hons) International Management and BA (Hons) International Finance and Business Accounting programmes in Prague. ENC Master’s students also have the opportunity to study PCU’s MSc International Management programme.
École des Métiers de la Communication (EFAP), France
EFAP is a member of the Group EDH in France. It specializes in all aspects of communication, training professionals capable of promoting a brand, an institution, or a product in all environments (communication agencies, advertising agencies, large groups, SMEs, media, local authorities, etc.). The EFAP School of Communication has expanded by setting up new campuses in France and abroad, pursuing an ambitious international strategy. Today EFAP has 11 campuses, 87 international partners and 24 specialized MBAs.
PCU is collaborating with EFAP through its Creative Media Production degree, offering an exchange programme for both lecturers and students. This provides PCU students the chance to participate in either a semester abroad or summer school at EFAP’s campus in central Paris. Recently, Maia Horniak, Programme Leader for BA (Hons) Creative Media Production held a two-day Video Project workshop at EFAP as part of Erasmus+ and the institution’s agreement.

ESAT, Spain
Escuela Superior de Arte y Tecnología (ESAT), is in the city of Valencia, right in the historic heart. ESAT focuses on studies in Art & Design (Graphic Design, and Fine Arts), video game programming and computer game animation. PCU welcomes students from ESAT to join the third year of our Graphic Design programme.
Escola Tecnica de Cicles Formatius d’Image (ITES), Spain
Based in Barcelona, this specialist state school ITES offers education in image and sound production with students able to join PCU for year 3 of our Creative Media Production programme.
