Study at the University of Economics! Application deadline is April 30, 2020
The University of Economics, Prague offers 8 international Master’s study programmes. Prospective students can submit their applications until April 30, 2020. The university is also organizing an Open House Day of Master’s programmes taught in English in Rajská Building/Rajská budova (RB 211) on Wednesday, March 4, 2020 from 6 pm.
The master’s programmes offered for 2020/2021 are:
Master of Economics and Public Policy is a two-year master’s program taught in English which provides students with theoretical knowledge and advanced analytical skills required to work as a leader in economics, jurisprudence and other social disciplines with a special emphasis on international economics and politics.
The objective of the programme is to develop competences in the core subjects of the programme for European and non-European economics students. Students of the programme benefit from an increased awareness of the place of the European Union (EU) in the world economy in general, and of its role in worldwide globalisation and international trade in particular.
The core values of the program are comprehensive understanding of the subject, integrity of theory and practice, emphasis on ethical and environmental dimension of decision-making, and respect for the multicultural aspects of the international environment.
The ISM Master Program is designed to train specialists in the development and management of information systems, existing either in business companies or in the public sector, able to flexibly respond to the needs and challenges of the continuously changing IS/ICT and business environments.
The aim of this Master in Management degree is to educate analytically and socially responsible minded business professionals with a broad economic overview and a focus on managing business performance.
This programme covers many topics related to data acquisition, data processing, data dissemination and communication, data analysis including advanced statistical and econometric modelling and working with specialized statistical and econometric software as well.
The program was established to address the specificities and characteristics of the Central European business environment within the framework of the increasing trends of globalization. It provides students with a comprehensive business education in the main fields of economics, management, finance, marketing and negotiations.
The full-time Master’s Programme in International Management/CEMS at the University of Economics, Prague is an academic training programme for top students demonstrating academic excellence, professional skills, international openness and social responsibility with interests and career intentions in an international environment. What makes this programme unique is its combination with the CEMS MIM programme that is completed in the first year of studies. CEMS is a global strategic alliance of leading business schools and multinational companies dedicated to educating and preparing the future generations of international business leaders.
The aim of the study programme “Finance and Accounting” is to gain knowledge in finance and accounting at the level of the standard finance and accounting master’s degree programme at the Faculty of finance and accounting at the University of Economics. The programme, which is a merge of two separate disciplines – finance and accounting, is unusual at the Czech universities, but it is comparable to the similar programmes at foreign universities. Concurrent focus on finance and accounting also increases the graduates’ chances on the labour market as their wider range offers them more job possibilities as well as their greater flexibility.
