Upcoming open days and a conference at Mendel University
If you’re someone whose passion is professionally taking care of nature and you’re considering studying in Czechia, you might have looked up Mendel University already. If not, read our older articles in which we introduced their study programmes horticulture and forestry. In any case, don’t miss this exciting news—in February and March, you’ll have an excellent opportunity to experience MENDELU first-hand!
Open Days
The Faculty of Forestry and Wood Technology has their Open Days on 3 February 2023 and will welcome all future lumberjacks, lumberjanes, striving farmers and cultivators. On the very same day, the Faculty of Regional Development and International Studies also opens its doors to future students.
The organisers promise to show you around the campus, answer your questions and give you a short informative lecture about the faculties, available courses and internships. You don’t have to be afraid to engage because current students and study officers will be there to assist you. They also offer an alternative to those still abroad to join Open Days online, so there’s literally no reason to hesitate.
International conference
On 31 March 2023, Mendel University and its Faculty of Regional Development and International Studies will host an international scientific conference called New Challenges in Agricultural Development. This conference is part of the Visegrad project that tackles “Post-covid recovery of small family businesses in V4 countries.”
The conference will be all about sharing the newest knowledge from the fields of agriculture and regional development. The focus is placed on hopefully solving some of the issues of the COVID crisis and subsequent recovery of small agricultural producers as well as discussing other related topics and challenges that appeared.
